Dr. A.A. Swope, age 68, widely known physician of Crawfordsville, brother of Dr. R.E. Swope of Rockville was found dead in his home late Friday afternoon by a friend. He had been in ill health and it is believed that his death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Dr. Swope had been a prominent physician in Crawfordsville for 36 years. He was active in Republic politics in Montgomery County. Dr. Swope is survived by his brother, Dr. R. E. Swope, one sister, Mrs. Laura Kennedy of Montevalla, Ala; a nephew, Sam Swope of Rockville and two nieces, Miss Dawn Kennedy of Montevalla, Ala and MIss Susan Swope of Rockville. Funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Monday morning at the Elks home in Crawfordsville. burial was made in Stilesville cemetery.
